There’s something truly special about in-home newborn sessions. The warmth, the quiet intimacy, and the raw, unfiltered love between a family and their newest addition make these sessions some of my absolute favorites. As a photographer, I love capturing the beauty of everyday moments—tiny fingers wrapped around mom’s, the way dad gazes in awe at his little one, and those peaceful (or sometimes wiggly!) snuggles on the couch.

One of my goals for every in-home session is to make it feel as natural and stress-free as possible. I always recommend soft, neutral tones for clothing to keep the focus on the baby and the love within the family. We let the baby lead—pausing for feedings, diaper changes, or extra cuddles as needed. These unposed moments, where a mother soothes her baby or a father gently strokes their tiny head, often turn out to be the most beautiful images.
