A Classic Black-Tie Wedding at 1208 Washington Place
As a wedding photographer, I get to capture some of the most beautiful love stories in stunning settings, and this classic black-tie wedding at 1208 Washington Place in Columbia, SC, was no exception.
If you’ve never been to 1208 Washington Place, let me paint a picture for you. It’s a historic 1924 building in the heart of downtown Columbia, originally a bank, and it still carries that old-world charm with high ceilings, grand columns, and even a vintage bank vault (yes, a bank vault!). It’s the perfect mix of classic elegance and modern sophistication, which made it the ideal venue for Ally and Vaughan.
After a heartfelt ceremony, the party truly began! Guests moved seamlessly into the reception space, where they were greeted by elegant tablescapes, lush floral arrangements, and twinkling candlelight. The dance floor stayed packed all night, and it was clear that this was a group that knew how to celebrate!
This wedding at 1208 Washington was elegance at its finest, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with. Huge thanks to Melanie Murphy for orchestrating such a flawless day, and of course, to the newlyweds for letting me be a part of their story.
