A Central Energy Wedding in Downtown Columbia, SC

There are some weddings that stay with you forever, and this Central Energy wedding in downtown Columbia will always be one of those for me.

We started portraits at the South Carolina State House, and it was the perfect backdrop for my couple. The timeless architecture and golden afternoon light created such an elegant setting, and the joy between these two made every frame even more beautiful.

The ceremony and reception were held at Central Energy, a modern venue right in the heart of Columbia. The outdoor ceremony space was filled with soft, romantic details, and I’ll never forget the moment the bride walked down the aisle with her father—her bouquet overflowing with white blooms and trailing greenery designed by the incredibly talented Becca Zorn. It was such a breathtaking moment, and the joy on everyone’s faces said it all.

From beginning to end, the day was planned with care and intention by Amber with Amoi Weddings, who ensured everything ran seamlessly. From the ceremony setup to the elegant reception, every detail reflected the couple’s vision perfectly.

On a personal note, this wedding will always hold such a unique place in my heart. I photographed it while 38 weeks pregnant—and just four days later, I welcomed my son into the world. My bride put so much trust in me, and it meant everything. It was such an honor to capture this chapter of her story while standing at the edge of one of the biggest chapters in my own.
