YAY, you’re engaged! Now what?! Time to secure your vendors because let’s be honest, the wedding industry is crazy right now and if you want to work with your dream team, you’ve got to book early!

So, how do you pick the right photographer?

There are so many incredible ones out there, sometimes it can just be flat out overwhelming! Well, let me give you a piece of advice. From here on out, i’m going to speak to you bride to bride because at one point, I was in the shoes you are in!

1. Look at their work!

No seriously, you’ve got to go through their portfolio! Ask to see some galleries, dig through their instagrams, go to their blog. Decide on what style you like, then go from there.

2. Make sure you connect.

This is a BIG one, especially for me. Being in front of the camera can be uncomfy, BUT if you have a photographer you connect well with, it will be much easier to get comfy in front of their lens! It is also super important because they will be spending one of the biggest days of your life with you, if you don’t mesh, you don’t want to think back and regret who you chose.

3. Ask about their contract!

If they don’t have one… RUN.

4. Don’t be afraid to look for someone that isn’t in the area

Have you been following a photographer thats based in Georgia? You love their work and you think you’d connect well? REACH OUT TO THEM! Most photographers will travel for you, don’t be afraid to ask!

5. Don’t focus on pricing

WOW, this one seems like it should be something you really pay attention to, right? Well yes, but also no. If you love a photographer and their work, don’t let $500 be the difference between you having your dream photographer or not. Sometimes you can find a photographer that will work with you!
